James Cameron's Avatar

Post by Boomlala on Thu Feb 24, 2011 7:10 am

Have you seen it? What did you think?

I thought it was great. I knew the general plotline (Dances with Wolves) beforehand, but it didn't bother me much. The graphics were gorgeous and I liked the main music motif by Horner. Near the ending I was intrigued and the storyline did grip me, didn't want anyone to die at the end. Looking forward to the sequel.

Next movie on my list is Inception.

Dude Avatar sucked. The storyline was a lame excuse to make some computer footage.
Oh yes, the special effects were good, but that's not why I watch a movie.
It was also corny and predictable.

I was really stoned when I watched inception. I remember it was pretty good. Doesn't deserve 8.9 at IMDB, but good nevertheless.

Inception's much better for me...but Nolan always does good work i guess.
Avatar is a fine movie but it does not deserve such a box office as compared to Titanic and Lord of the Rings
