Help! Quick!

Post by *Hule* on Mon Jul 19, 2010 4:05 pm

Now that I have your attention, share your wisdom with me. I need it..

Is there like an audio-editing program out there that could separate different audio tracks from a regular mp3/some other format song?
I'm desperately after one.. I would like to mute the drum track from various songs to play along with them.
Somehow I have a feeling, though, that a program of that kind is unlikely to exist, but it doesn't hurt to ask now does it.

Does anyone know anything about a program called Adobe Audition? I googled and just found out remote clues about it working in this matter. I'm scoping it out at the moment to see what's the deal with it, but I don't think it'll work.

Ideas?

I guess it has to be... But im not sure either.. I had read many years ago about one that removed vocals so after all these years they will probbaly work better and might do a good job at removing instruments...

There won't be any simple software for you to filter this out, you to to collect a sample of the drum sounds to create a noise set. With this you have a fair chance of getting rid of it. Still it might fuck the sound up on some parts etc...

Try to get a decent guitar pro tab for a song? They tend to have all instruments (no vocals though) and you can turn off any track you want.
