Are you kidding me?
Americans believe that:
Public schools should teach evolution only: 20%
Only evolution (not religious explanations) should be taught in science classes: 17%
Creationism should be discussed in science class as a 'belief,' not a scientific theory: 29%
Creationism and evolution should be taught as 'scientific theories' in science class: 13%
Only Creationism should be taught: 16%
Source: http://media.pfaw.org/pdf/creationism/creationism-poll.pdf
16% fucking percent says that evolution should be ignored. Now that's goddamn bullshit.

Re: Are you kidding me?
why would you believe in something that you don't want to understand instead of just accepting the logical explanation?
The existence of an afterlife or a god is easily proven bullshit

if its easy to prove there is existence of an afterlife or not, how come we haven't came up with something?

This is nonsense forum.
Hence I post nonsense (or at least less-sensical threads nobody cares about).

It can be proven with logic, but the problem is religious people don't (want to) believe in logical stuff.
All of this so called 'inexplainable stuff' has way more logic (often theoretical) explanations then some GOD doing shit.
If god made the universe, who the fuck made god?
Religious people transfer things they do not understand (due to stupidity, mistrust in theories, etc) to something they don't want to understand. Easy exit.
Everything can be explained more logicaly without using god in it. Ergo: why would you believe in a god then?

Re: Are you kidding me?
I love these convos. People try to prove theirselves right but the only thing they do is fail. Concerning these matters you can only tell your opinion and give reasons for it, but you just can't tell it as the fact.
This is how I see this:
I couldn't care less about afterlife. We don't know this life properly so why bother taking pressure of what MIGHT be after it.
It it's there it's there, if not then not.
God/religious stuff can't be proven true, but neither can they be proven false. If so could be done it would've been done ages ago.
None of you have studied that stuff enough to even back your opinions up properly.
So just concentrate on this life and make the best of it. If preparing for the afterlife makes you happy, then go ahead and do it.
If total denial of such things makes you happy, no-one is there to stop you.

Re: Are you kidding me?
I still think teaching creationism instead of evolution shouldn't happen.

you're not listening; it can be proven false. But people don't want to hear it.
I know guys whom can't accept god and an afterlife doesn't exist because they say their life would be useless then.
w/e
Discussions like this hardly ever lead to something good. One believes not what he thinks is right but what he wants to believe; it's subconscious.
Let's burry it

Re: Are you kidding me?
Fine by me, I don't care anyways. Call me a agnostic.
Though, I'd very much like to see that provement of religiouns/god being false. I haven't seen one proving it to be true, and I don't think there will be one proving it to be false either.
I'd call religions and god matters that escape definition, so it's quite hard to prove them to any direction.
I don't even know why people care about this stuff so much. =P
